Camping on the land

Updated: Jan 24

Our camping sites are up and ready for booking this the Fall season through Hipcamp.com

We have two, three-season canvas tents, and a yurt available. The Yurt accommodates four individuals comfortably. It is nestled in a forest clearing surrounded by trees, vegetation, and sits next to a seasonal brook. There is a large three season tent with a deck by the brook, a smaller canvas three season tent, and a 10' x 10' platform.

The outdoor accommodations include two compost toilets in privacy tents, an outhouse and an outdoor hot/cold shower.

We had some work to do to get the sites ready. We leveled one site to make room for a larger platform. Nina got some lessons on what our tractor can do from our neighbor, Mike. He has been driving tractors and farming equipment from the time he could reach the pedals and so handles it like an extension of his own body. Once the site was leveled we started building our platform. When it wasn’t down pouring, we made great progress and Roberto taught Nina and Jody some basic carpentry skills along the way. Our favorite farmer Rachel S. also came out to help!

Setting up the tents went much faster.

Both our Tentrr tent and Kodiak canvas tent are comfortably nestled in the woods near the brook that has been flowing consistently this rainy summer. Roberto spent much of his time on building and maintaining our facilities this summer, constructing two compost toilets, in addition to the tent platform while also repairing the rotting foot bridge and moving it to a lower crossing.

We are beginning to see the leaves changing already and are looking forward to the vibrant fall colors that turn the lush green mountains into bright reds, yellows, and oranges. We invite folx to come for a visit and enjoy the beauty of Vermont in the Fall.

The brook has been endlessly fascinating to our young kitty Lea who has been enjoying playing in its water, chasing frogs, and catching bugs all summer long.

"We are looking forward to hosting families, healing retreats, and folx looking to spend some restorative time in nature."
