Anastasia White is a Brooklyn-based designer, entrepreneur, and devoted Mom with a B.F.A. in Fashion Design from Washington University Sam Fox School of Art. A New Orleans native, she has well over 20 years of experience designing womens’ fashion for renowned retailers like Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, and Neiman Marcus.

 

As a designer, Anastasia managed in-house creatives and partnered with key store executives to develop product collections that achieved and exceeded companies’ key performance goals. Eventually the rapidly changing fashion industry motivated Anastasia to challenge practices which were perpetuating global harm.

 

Inspired by her global travels and a strong commitment to wellness and sustainability, Anastasia founded crescent bleu™, an eco-conscious swimwear brand that emphasizes ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility. Passionate about fostering positive impact in the fashion industry, she embraced a career shift as an Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where she equips the next generation of design creatives with essential skills.

 

Along with instructing in the degree program, Anastasia has taught in FIT’s Pre-College and Equal Opportunity Program and is an FIT Social Justice Center mentor. Anastasia is happy to incorporate her varied expertise with her vision for sustainable communities to the board of directors in full support of the mission of Apprentice Earth Inc.
