This outdoor painting class will focus on the fundamentals of drawing, composition and the basic techniques of painting building from abstraction to representation. Color mixing and paint application techniques will be demonstrated.  The approaches to creating an abstract landscape can include simplifying, flattening, or distorting the shapes: reducing the elements first to create an engaging composition. No prior experience required. Suitable for artists who never painted landscapes and for experienced landscape painters.

*Participants will need to bring a travel easel.
